 Affection Section

Affection SectionAffection Section is part of Animal Kingdom’s Rafiki’s Planet Watch and gives your child a chance to get up close and personal to a few animals.   Similar to other petting zoos this section allows kids to pet goats, sheep, and pigs.  You will also find cattle, llama, and even a donkey taking up residents in this area.    As you enter the area there are brushes available for brushing the animals.   Be sure to wash up and help the little ones was up as you leave this are.

There is a small theater area to the right of the petting zoo entrance, be sure to check if Affection Section 1there is anything going on.   Often times there are small shows featuring birds, tortoises, or snakes.

Remember that Affection Section is part of Rafiki’s Planet Watch so a trip on the Wildlife Express Train is required to get to the area.   Once you arrive there is a short path you have to take.

Though a petting zoo is not first on many people’s list of must do’s when spending a day at Disney, the area is a nice getaway and kids love the up close experience with the animals.   If you are in a rush to get Animal Kingdom done in a single day I would advise you to skip this area.
