Welcome to this week’s Favorite Food Friday where we share our favorite foods with our friends. Did you know that yesterday (August 4th) was National Chocolate Chip Cookie day?? How did you celebrate? If I was at the parks I would have celebrated with one of these massive Ice Cream Cookie Sandwiches 🙂 These guys consist of two oven fresh chocolate chip cookies and your choice of any flavor ice cream that they are currently serving. This means your treat can taste different with each visit, and watch for special events when they have fun flavors to try. I love these, but they do melt fast on these hot summer days, on this trip we had the luxury of enjoying it in the AC in the World Premiere Food Court at the All Star Movies Resort. You can also find these in the parks including the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor on Main Street USA at the Magic Kingdom. mmmm I bet you are wanting to celebrate this holiday now…..

Our Favorite Food This Week: “Tastes like Chicken” – Because it is!
Location: Skipper Canteen, Magic Kingdom

Welcome to this week’s Favorite Food Friday where we share our favorite foods with our friends. This week we head back over to the Skipper Canteen at the Magic Kingdom and have something that tastes like chicken and really is Chicken. We all travel with that picky eater in the family and Disney does a great job offering up a selection of meals to appease all. When looking for that simple meal, this fits the bill. The meal is Chicken with Citrus and Ginger-scented Rice, Chili Glaze, and Seasonal Vegetables, the chili glaze does have a bit of a kick so feel free to ask your server for substitutions on the sides as they do have a few. Our Favorite Food This Week: Dad’s Brownie Sundae
Location: 50’s Prime Time Cafe, Hollywood Studios

Welcome to this week’s Favorite Food Friday where we share our favorite foods with our friends. It’s July and summer is in full swing, did you know that July is National Ice Cream Month?? I celebrate ice cream on a daily basis, with good reason this month. One of my favorite ice cream desserts at the parks is Dad’s Brownie Sunday at 50’s Prime Time Cafe in Hollywood Studios. This reminds me of what I like to make at home, at little of this and a little of that. It’s made with a Chocolate Brownie covered with Vanilla Ice Cream, Hot Fudge, Caramel Sauce, Whipped Cream, and Toppings. Yes that’s caramel corn, M&M’s, and Mickey Sprinkles. Don’t forget the cherry. Oh so good, but I’m usually so full from my meal it’s hard to take it all in, I’ll share. What’s your favorite Ice Cream at the parks?

As many of you know Deb’s(Focused on the Magic) husband was in the hospital for the past couple weeks, I am sad to say Paul passed away last night. I ask that you keep Deb and her family in your thoughts and prayers today. Paul will be sorely missed by everyone. Her scheduled Wordless Wednesday this week has a theme of Disney Food.

Our Favorite Food This Week: Cookie’s BBQ
Location: Cookie’s BBQ – Castaway Cay, Disney Cruise

Welcome to this week’s Favorite Food Friday where we share our favorite foods with our friends. This week we head back to our last trip on the Disney Fantasy and one of our favorite spots to eat on any Disney Cruise, Cookie’s BBQ on Castaway Cay. Castaway Key is a beautiful spot, you spend the morning exploring the island and playing at the beach building up your appetite. As the morning goes on you begin to the smell the BBQ flavors wafting through the island air. Cookie’s BBQ has a large selection for even the picky eaters. You will find a few starters including potato salad, coleslaw, couscous salad and a tomato salad. Then onto the main course of BBQ Ribs, spicy fried chicken, hamburger patties, hot dogs, boiled corn, and sauerkraut. They also have Cajun spiced chicken, vegetarian chili, and grilled salmon. Be sure to save room for desserts. Desserts include chocolate chip cookies, pineapple upside down cake, banana bread, fruit salad, and of course soft serve Ice Cream!!! Castaway Key and Cookie’s BBQ is always one of the highlights of our Disney Cruise.
