IC Expeditions - Favorite Food Friday - DisneyDayByDay

Our Favorite Food This Week: Strawberry Shortcake Sundae
Location: IC Expeditions – Blizzard Beach
Cost: $5.39

Welcome to this week’s Favorite Food Friday where we share our favorite foods with our friends.  Our son turned 12 last week and we spent it at the water parks, what better way to spend the day in this summer heat.   And what better place to feed my ice cream addiction :).   We walked into Blizzard Beach and past IC Expeditions and I had to check out the menu, I knew I would be on an expedition later that day.   I settled on the Strawberry Shortcake Sundae which is vanilla ice cream with strawberries and whipped cream served over shortbread.   I loved it!   It had the right mix of each ingredient and really hit the spot feeding the addiction.    If you are at Blizzard Beach and want to go on an Expedition, I would recommend the Strawberry Shortcake Sundae!!

Joffreys-Doughnut- Favorite Food Friday - DisneyDayByDay

Our Favorite Food This Week: Joffrey’s Doughnut
Location: Joffrey’s Kiosks, Entry to Epcot
Cost: $3.28

Welcome to this week’s Favorite Food Friday where we share our favorite foods with our friends.  I know we have mentioned these doughnuts before, but it now has been somewhat of a tradition of ours to grab one of these and share it as we wait for rope drop at Epcot.   Plus today is National Doughnut Day!!   Did you know National Doughnut Day was created in 1938 by the Salvation Army to honor their members who helped to serve doughnuts to soldiers during World War I??   So yes you can find these amazing doughnuts outside the Epcot entrance at the Joffrey’s Kiosk, we have also spotted them at Hollywood Studios as well. These aren’t your standard doughnut, they are large, fresh, moist and full of flavor. You can find them at the Joffrey’s kiosks located in and around the Parks.

Did you know, even with Starbucks in the parks, Joffrey is the official specialty coffee of Disney? This was announced on Feb 19, 2013.  Joffrey is a Tampa Florida based company specializing in coffee and tea, check out their website and have some delivered right to your home.

Favorite Food Friday – Create your own Pasta

Favorite Food Friday – Create your own Pasta

Port Orleans - Create your own pasta - DisneyDayByDay

Our Favorite Food This Week: Create your own pasta
Location: Riverside Mill Food Court
Cost: $12.69

Welcome to this week’s Favorite Food Friday where we share our favorite foods with our friends.  This week we are looking at the Create Your Own Pasta at the Riverside Mill Food Court at Port Orleans Riverside.  Let’s face it – sometimes you just want a little more say in what you are eating 🙂   Create your own pasta has popped up at a few of the quick service locations at the resorts.    When you get in line you select from a selection of Pasta, Sauce, Chicken or Shrimp, and a wide selection of veggies.   Overall we have found these to be so good and very fresh since it’s made to order.    We have found that these meals do take a bit longer than just grabbing something at the grill or the grab and go locations, so if you are heading in with your family and you know you are going to order the pasta you will want to get your order in ASAP so they don’t have to stand around waiting for you while their food gets cold.

Favorite Food Friday – Cabanas on Disney Fantasy

Favorite Food Friday – Cabanas on Disney Fantasy

Disney Fantasy - Cabanas - Favorite Food Friday

Our Favorite Food This Week: Cabanas Buffet
Location: Cabanas, Deck 11 Aft – Disney Fantasy
Cost: $Cost of Cruise

Welcome to this week’s Favorite Food Friday where we share our favorite foods with our friends.  Last week we were cruising on the Disney Fantasy , oh how hard it is to get back into the “regular things” in life after spending a week at sea.   Our son still expects – appetizer, soup, entree and dessert with each meal :).   We had an amazing time as always, and we will be sharing more with you in the coming weeks.   As we board the ship one of our first stops is always Cabanas.    Cabanas is located on Deck 11 Aft and stretches across the ship from port to starboard side.  Yes it’s huge, so much so that if you are meeting up with people it’s not enough to just say – “Meet at Cabanas”.   We always see people trying to find their families.    Cabanas offers a huge selection of different foods in buffet style, each side of the ship features a buffet with the same offerings.   In the middle of the two buffets at the very aft (back) of the ship you will find the custom omelet station in the morning and the meat carving station at lunch and dinner.    In our picture above you can see one of the buffets along with a plate of mashed potatoes, roll, steamed veggies, turkey, beef, and of course a cookie.  Yummmm   What’s your favorite buffet item or place to eat on a Disney Cruise?
