Welcome to this week’s Favorite Food Friday where we share our favorite foods with our friends. I hope you and your family had a great Holiday. I know that many of you will be eating leftover Turkey for the next few days, so here is a look at something other than turkey :). On our last trip to the parks it was a bit chilly so I wanted something warm and hearty. The Be Our Guest braised pork was right up that alley. This dish is filled with mashed potatoes, green beans, onions, red pepper and moist tender braised pork. I enjoyed every bite and plan to order this again on our next visit.

Hidden Mickey Monday : Gaston’s Fountain
Our Hidden Mickey this week comes from Gaston’s fountain near Gaston’s Tavern in New Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom. Take a look at that man, I mean there is no one as burly and brawny and you can see he has biceps to spare. But have you ever walked around and taken a look at the backside? Of the rock ladies, eyes down. Take a look at the backside of the rock that Gaston is standing on.
There are many different spots on the rock he is standing on. If you see Gaston’s left food go directly down from there almost to the waters edge.

Welcome to this week’s Favorite Food Friday where we share our favorite foods with our friends. This week’s Favorite Food takes us to one of our favorite countries in World Showcase, Norway. Step inside the Kringla Kakeri og Cafe for some amazing treats, including our selection School Bread. I have to say at first sight I was not sold, for one I’m not a big coconut fan and for two I’m not a big school fan. But after trying this I’m ready to hit the books.
School Bread, or should I say Skolebrod, was so called as it was a treat sent in lunch with kids to school. This sure beats my PB&J and I would expect the trade value to be quite high. School Bread is a sweet cardamom bun filled with vanilla creme custard and topped with glazed and toasted coconut. This is the perfect snack to grab while touring World Showcase, it’s not overly sweet and is full of custard. Enjoy….
