Living with the Land

Review

Although this is a rather simple, educational ride this attraction is often a favorite with the Disney fan crowd. Lines are rarely long, and in fact if it’s longer than twenty minutes you may want to skip it and check back later. On Living with the Land you’ll board a slow-moving boat and travel through different ecosystems before ending up in Disney’s very own greenhouses. Children will enjoy seeing the animatronic animals in a desert, jungle and farm themed environment.

In the greenhouses visitors will see a variety of plant life, learn how they grow, and the exciting new ways that scientists are developing more eco-friendly food. You’ll even see live fish, eels, alligators and shrimp! Make sure to watch out for “Hidden Mickeys” as there are a few in the greenhouses, and you can even find pumpkins shaped like Mickey at certain times of the year.

If you’re interested in seeing more, than pay a little extra for a Behind the Seeds Tour.

Tip: Try out the Sunshine Seasons and Garden Grill restaurants located in the building. These two places provide an excellent alternative to fried food, and many of the dishes are made out of the food from the Living with the Land ride!

Rating

DBD_Rating_4 Amazing to see some of the future in agriculture.  The line is usually short and it’s a nice relaxing boat ride after Soarin over California.
