Our Favorite Food This Week: Gourmet Cake Cup
Location: Cheshire Cafe – Magic Kingdom
Cost: $4.59
Welcome to this week’s Favorite Food Friday where we share our favorite foods with our friends. This week we head back to our favorite park, the Magic Kingdom. We take a right at the castle, head toward the Tea Cups, and stop at the Cheshire Cafe for a gourmet cake cup. Yes, folks cake in a cup, how amazing is that. Plus it’s gourmet so how can you pass it up. The cake cups are layered, cake, frosting, cake, frosting, cake, big heap o frosting. The varieties available do vary, but on the day we visited there were two available. The Queen of Hearts Strawberry Shortcake and the Cheshire Cupcake. The Cheshire is a standard white cake/vanilla frosting so we tried the strawberry shortcake. It was very good, but you must be a fan of sweet treats. Even our sweet tooth found us pushing aside some of the abundance of frosting to enjoy some of the cake and strawberries. Overall a very sweet treat and something that I would purchase again.

Our Hidden Mickey this week comes from the Storybook Circus area of New Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom. If you ride the train to Fantasyland or if you head to the back of Storybook Circus to visit the restrooms, look down. Many different animals have come and go at the circus and if you look real close many of the foot prints left behind form perfect Hidden Mickey’s! See if you can spot some in our shots below.
These are just a couple of the Mickey’s you can find on the ground here. Where else do you spot him?

Our Favorite Food This Week: Pork Shank
Location: Gaston’s Tavern, Magic Kingdom
Cost: $7.99
Welcome to this week’s Favorite Food Friday where we share our favorite foods with our friends. This week we head to New Fantasyland at the Magick Kingdom and Gaston’s Tavern. No one eats like Gaston….The Roasted Pork Shank is dare I say, in my option, better than the Turkey Leg. The shank is a bit smaller than the Turkey Leg, but I found the meat to be more falling off the bone tender. This made it easier to push the meat off and eat. Yes it’s a bit fatty but it’s a carnivore’s dream. As you can see in the after picture above, the shank didn’t stand a chance with us.
Have you tried the roasted pork shank? Let us know your opinion.

Our Hidden Mickey this week comes from Barnstormer attraction at the Magic Kingdom. As you approach the attraction you see a large billboard that the ride vehicles have crashed right through. This is where we will find this weeks Hidden Mickey
Take a close look at those planes.
