Our Favorite Food This Week: Pre-Meal Bread at Le Cellier

This week’s favorite food comes from Le Cellier in the World Showcase at Epcot. The food at Le Cellier is great, we have enjoyed every meal we have had there, but be careful of the bread. I love the pretzel bread, it’s very easy to eat so much you don’t have room for the amazing meal that is yet to come.
Be sure to sample all the bread varieties, but the pretzel is my favorite. What is your favorite pre-meal appetizer?

Our Favorite Food This Week: Pork and Vegetable Egg Rolls

This week’s favorite food comes from China in the World Showcase at Epcot. The Pork and Vegetable Rolls at the Lotus Blossom Cafe were great and full of flavor. Pick these up for a quick snack as you pass through China.
These Egg Rolls were the best part of our meal from Lotus Blossom Cafe, we will return just for them next time. What’s your favorite item from China?

Our Favorite Food This Week: Kringla Sweet Pretzel
Location: Kringla Bakeri og Cafe Norway – Epcot World Showcase

This week’s favorite food comes from Norway in the World Showcase at Epcot. The Kringla Sweet Pretzel is a sweet raisin pretzel glazed with icing and toasted almonds. It’s light and fluffy and has just the right amount of sweetness.
This is one of my wife’s favorite snacks around the world and is a wonderful sweet treat to share with your family. What’s your favorite snack from Norway?

Our Favorite Food This Week: Pioneer Chili Cheeseburger
Location: Hungry Bear Restaurant – Disneyland
Price: $10.19 (Shown with Sweet Potato Fries $2.79
This week’s favorite food comes from Disneyland and the Hungry Bear Restaurant. As you explore Critter Country if you get hungry head over to the rustic Hungry Bear for some good food and great views. Our selection this week is the Pioneer Chili Cheeseburger which is 1/3 lb. chuck burger with homestyle chili, cheese and hand battered onion ring. Yes that the onion ring showing and not the burger.
The burger itself was good, but the chili was a bit dry for my taste. I think it is made that way to keep it on the sandwich. The onion ring is large and is used to hold the chili on the burger. The sweet potato fries were good and a nice change from your standard fries. What is your favorite meal at the Hungry Bear?

Our Favorite Food This Week: Chicken Campanelle
Location: Mama Melrose’s – Hollywood Studios
Price: $18.99 (with Shrimp $20.99)
For a many years we walked right past Mama Melrose’s at Hollywood Studios without giving it much thought. After hearing so many good reviews we decided to give it a shot. I ordered the Chicken Campanelle which is wood-grilled chicken over Campanelle pasta tossed with four-cheese sauce with broccoflower, sun-dried tomatoes, fresh spinach and sweet onions.
Is your mouth watering yet? The dish had amazing flavor and was piping hot as it was delivered to the table. Try not to fill up on bread before the meal comes. While waiting on our meal we noticed that there was writing all over the walls, we asked the server about this and she indicated that you are not supposed to to this. She said Disney ended up having to remove some of the prop items around the tables due to the writing. Wax from the crayons actually ruined some one of a kind items. Our Favorite Food This Week: Patriot’s Platter
Location: Liberty Tree Tavern – Liberty Square- Magic Kingdom

Do you enjoy Thanksgiving Dinner, how about Thanksgiving dinner at the parks? Stop by Liberty Tree Tavern for some amazing food that just keeps coming to the table. The meal starts with mouth watering dinner rolls served with honey butter and salad in a house dressing. The rolls are so good you will need a friend to call you off and save some room for the main course. The Patriot’s Platter is next and consists of Roasted turkey breast, carved beef, and sliced pork, with mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables, herb-bread stuffing and macaroni and cheese. It’s served family style and is all you can eat so don’t hold back and ask for seconds or thirds of anything you like.
