Our Favorite Food This Week: S.E.A Shu Mai
Location: Skipper Canteen – Magic Kingdom
Cost: $10
Welcome to this week’s Favorite Food Friday where we share our favorite foods with our friends. This week we head back to the Skipper Canteen to try one of the appetizers. As you can see from the shot above we chose the S.E.A. SHU MAI. It is a legendary blend of Pork, Shrimp, Mung Beans, and spices wrapped in Gyoza Skin then steamed. We were presently surprised by this one, over all the flavor was great and the added sauce really helped to pull out the flavor. The sauce itself is hot, but since it comes in it’s own container it’s very easy to add a little or a lot if you like it hot.

Our Favorite Food This Week: Seared Mahi Mahi
Location: Coral Reef, Epcot
Cost: $26.99
Welcome to this week’s Favorite Food Friday where we share our favorite foods with our friends. This week we are watching some fish while eating some fish at the Coral Reef at Epcot. The Coral Reef is nestled in behind the The Seas with Nemo and Friends attraction at Epcot. They offer a variety of dishes, on this occasion I selected the Seared Mahi Mahi served with Laughing Bird Shrimp, Hearts of Palm, Jasmine Rice, Cilantro, and a Coconut-Lime Sauce. I waited for a bit to hear the shrimp laugh or even chip like a bird, but nothing. So I dove right in and overall the dish was good, the fish itself was well cooked and was very flaky. The rice with lime sauce was just OK, overall I found it not to have as much flavor as I would have hoped which made the dish seem somewhat bland.

Our Favorite Food This Week: New England Clam Chowder

Welcome to this week’s Favorite Food Friday where we share our favorite foods with our friends. This week we staying at the Magic Kingdom and heading over to the Columbia Harbour House for a warm cup of soup on these chilly Florida days. Columbia Harbour House is one of our favorite counter service restaurants at the Magic Kingdom, we love to sit on the bridge and people watch as they transition from Fantasyland into Liberty Square. It’s been chilly in FL these past couple days so I thought I would warm us all up with a warm cup of New England Clam Chowder, yummmm. This creamy soup is sure to both fill and warm you up.
