Has anyone else noticed that this brick wall at Disneyland looks a bit odd? As you head down Main Street USA and take a right on Center Street you will come face to face with a brick wall that looks a little bit unfinished or maybe built from some left over bricks to save some money. Hmmm what could the wall be……
Legend has it that this wall was the test wall used to look at different masonry design and brick types for use throughout the park. Leading up to the opening of Disneyland money and time were becoming a bit tight so the wall was left as is. Others say that it was just forgotten about in the mad rush to open the park.
Whatever happened, the wall has remained on Main Street since park opening in 1955. Be sure to stop by on your next visit and take a look just as DisneyDayByDay Jr and I did here.

For our upcoming Mother’s Day Weekend Getaway, we added a great pool to our selection criteria. As we all know the deluxe resorts all have great pools so what about the water slide. Which Deluxe has the longest water slide at Walt Disney World? (insert Jeopardy music here)

And the winner is – Yacht and Beach Club!! This 3 acre beachside water park is a blast for the whole family. With around 800,000 gallons of water there is everything from sand-bottom pools, lazy river, whirlpool spas, and our soon to be favorite 230 foot long waterslide (also one of the highest at Walt Disney World Resort).
So how did everyone else stacked up:

Our Hidden Mickey this week comes from the Finding Nemo Show at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Instead of finding Nemo, let’s see if we can find Mickey. We love this show, but pay close attention to the sign before you head into the theater. Hmmm can you spot him?

Could he be in those bubbles? Take a look at the lower right hand side of the sign.

Hi Mickey!! So happy to find you again this week.
We love Hidden Mickey‘s. Where else have you seen him on a sign?

Our Favorite Food This Week: Oven-baked Chicken alla Parmigiana
Location: Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano – Hollywood Studios
Price: $17.99
Welcome to this week’s Favorite Food Friday where we share our favorite foods with our friends. This week we are hanging out at Hollywood Studios celebrating their 25th Birthday and enjoying food at Mama Melrose. The Oven-baked Chicken alla Parmigiana is a Breaded Chicken Breast with Marinara Sauce topped with Melted Mozzarella over Spaghetti. Although very good, my wife wasn’t blown away by the dish.

What is your favorite food at Hollywood Studios?
