Location: Sassagoula Floatworks Food Factory – Port Orleans French Quarter
Price: 3 for $2.99 or 6 for $4.29
This week’s favorite food comes from the Sassagoula Floatworks Food Factory at the Port Orleans French Quarter Resort. As many of you know Port Orleans French Quarter is one of our favorite moderate resorts at Walt Disney World and these powered balls of heaven may be one of the reasons. If you are staying here be sure to head to the food court and order these, they are cooked fresh while you wait and covered in powered sugar, and oh so so good.
If you have never tried beignets, they are similar to a powder sugar doughnut. Wikipedia says that it is a french term for a pastry made from deep fried choux paste. I have no idea what choux paste is nor does it sound good, but anything deep fried has to be good and these make no exception. Have you tried the beignets? What is your favorite Disney Breakfast food?
Choux Pastry…not paste 🙂
(Just butter, eggs, water and flour!)
Ha – Wiki says paste, call it whatever you want – it’s good!
You know how I feel about fried foods! <3
I would love to try one of these! They sound amazing!
I’ve heard so much about these that I HAVE to head over there and try them one of these days! They do look yummy.
Did you link up my post this week? If so, thanks a bunch! 🙂
