Our Favorite Food This Week: Shaoxing Steak and Shrimp
Location: Yak and Yeti (Animal Kingdom)
Price: $26.99
As you run from Kilimanjaro Safaris to Expedition Everest you may spot the Yak and Yeti restaurant. Stop in and give it a try. On our last visit I ordered the Shaoxing Steak and Shrimp which was described as a skirt steak (though I rather call it a kilt), tempura battered shrimp, jasmine rise, stir fried veggies and a chili plum dip.
The steak was good quality and cooked exactly as I had ordered. It was an overall tasty dish which I would order again. Yak and Yeti opened its doors in 2007 and is owned and operated by Landry’s Restaurants owners of Rainforest Cafe, TRex, and many more.

Oh yum! That looks and sounds delicious. I haven’t tried Yak and Yeti. I will order this when I do though. Looks amazing.
It was good, but it’s always great to get something cooked exactly right, especially from a restaurant servicing so many. We walked by the Yak and Yeti as well for many years before trying it out. Thanks for coming by today!
I almost wonder if they would do it no meat…..
Not sure Heather, but since the meat is wrapped around the rice I wouldn’t see why not. Thanks for stopping by today.
I was considering Yak & Yeti for my next trip. Do you think it would make any difference to eat through the counter service side rather than the table service?
That looks tasty! Never eaten at Yak and Yeti either. A tip someone gave me was that if you time it right, you can eat and watch the parade from the upstairs seating. We might have to try that one of these trips!
I need to try this on my next Y&Y trip!! delish! I’ll also be linking up next week! how have I missed this hop?! I’m a sucker for hops! 🙂
Sounds delicious! I’ve actually never been to Yak and Yeti. From what I’ve heard about it, it sounds like I need to go there on my next trip!
