If you came to this post looking to see Space Mountain or Big Thunder Mountain then you are in for a disappointment. The fastest ride at the Magic Kingdom at 40 mph is Splash Mountain. You will reach this great speed as you drop 52 feet at a 45 degree angle with a bit of moisture in your face. Oh and don’t forget to smile, just as you reach full speed they snap a picture for your viewing pleasure as you leave the ride.

It also should be mentioned that you might get wet! LOL We finally got my two younger children talked into (aka forced) riding on our trip last January. However, we got the front seat. Needless to say, we got DRENCHED. My daughter was less than impressed. Not sure how long it will take before she agrees to a do-over.

I never would have guessed Splash Mountain was the fastest! It was closed for refurbishment when we were there. I look forward to seeing the updates on our next trip.
That ride scares me I don’t do well on rides like that. Good things Disney offers so much for people like me 🙂
