Our Favorite Food This Week: Disneyland Corn Dog
Location: Little Red Wagon (Disneyland Main St USA)
Price: $6.19 (includes chips or apple slices)
We are on our Disneyland Trip this week and one my favorites has been the Hand Dipped Corn Dogs from the Little Red Wagon just off of Main St. USA

Yes I know you have had a corn dog before, but there is just something about these that make them amazing. Eating them right off of Main St USA really adds to the flavor. What is your favorite food at Disneyland?

Our Favorite Food This Week: BBQ at Cookies BBQ
Location: Castaway Cay (Disney Cruise)
Price: It’s Free! (with the price of a cruise)
On a Disney Cruise there is food everywhere whenever you want it, yes it is a dream come true, but one of our favorite places to eat is Cookies BBQ on Castaway Cay.

As you step off the cruise ship onto Disney’s exclusive island you can smell it. As you explore the island you are welcomed at Cookie’s BBQ for lunch where you can enjoy many items from the buffet. And yes, the ice cream from the ship is also available just outside of Cookie’s.

Our Favorite Food This Week: Mickey Waffles
Location: Multiple Locations (Tusker House)
Price: Tusker House Averages $30 Adult and $17 Child
It was only matter of time before I featured the ultimate in breakfast food, the Mickey Waffle. Why these taste so much better than a standard waffle is a mystery, but believe me they do. Anything Mickey shaped tastes better and these batter filled fluffy creations are no exception.

The Mickey Waffle can be found at many of the breakfast locations across the Disney Property. Yes, it might be near the kids section of the buffet, but we are all a kid at heart. Plus, the batter used at Disney World is Carbon’s Golden Malted which just so happens to be from South Bend, IN where I was born and raised. So maybe, just maybe I’m a little biased.
Throw a couple on your plate and let us know what you think.

Our Favorite Food This Week: Le Cellier Campfire S’mores
Location: Le Cellier (Epcot – Canada) (Do not think this is available anymore)
Price: 5.99
As many of you know, I’m a ice creamaholic so I had to try the Campfire S’mores at Le Cellier. The S’mores were made up of chocolate graham crackers and roasted marshmallows with Vanilla Ice Cream. All of this arranged in a special way, see the picture below.

Even though the marshmallows on top covered in sprinkles looked really cool, they really didn’t add much to the dessert. The S’more with the vanilla ice cream was enough to satisfy my sweet tooth, or maybe just because the Ice Cream was gone that made me stop. The dessert does not look to be available anymore on the updated combined lunch/dinner menu at Le Cellier, but you can still pick one up at 50’s Prime Time, presentation is a bit different though.

Our Favorite Food This Week: Open-faced Chicken Sandwich
Location: Akershus Royal Banquet Hall (Epcot – Norway)
Price: Adult price range: $41.53-$50.05 (depends on time of year)
On our last trip to Disney World we brought along my wife’s niece, which gave me the perfect excuse to head to Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in Norway in Epcot’s World Showcase. Not only is there great food, but you get to meet some of our favorite Princesses. I got to meet, umm I mean our niece got to meet Snow White, Cinderella, Belle, Princess Aurora, and Ariel.

Dining at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall is a little different than your standard restaurant. You pay one price to get in the door and this covers your meal and a non-alcoholic beverage along with a picture of your group with a Princess. There is a small buffet as the appetizer, you then order your main course, and then the desserts are a selection to share. I ordered the Open-faced Chicken Sandwich as my main course which included sourdough bread with tomatoes, arugula, bacon, mushroom vinaigrette, Jarlsberg cheese, and lingonberry mayonnaise, served with a choice of soup. The chicken was moist and I loved the mix of flavors.
